What a Sunday feels like
St. Thomas of Canterbury holds worship every Sunday at 8am and 10am. The priest and a member of the congregation will likely greet you at the front door and offer you a bulletin; the church says it never singles out newcomers or asks you to introduce yourself. The service is liturgical, and the bulletin guides you through it even if you have never been to an Episcopal church. Communion is shared every week: all baptized Christians, including children, may receive, and anyone not baptized can cross their arms for a blessing. Gluten-free wafers are available. Dress is relaxed; jeans, shorts and t-shirts are common. Children are welcome in worship, with activity bags in the entry way. Refreshments follow in the Gathering Space or outside.
We are a pretty relaxed community — there's no need for a suit or tie or a dress (unless you want to!). You'll see jeans, shorts, khakis, button downs, polo shirts, and t-shirts.
