What a Sunday feels like
Sunday morning worship at St. Mark AME starts at 10, at 1616 West Atkinson Avenue in Milwaukee. An hour earlier, at 9, Church School meets, with classes for preschoolers, children, youth and adults. The church has a Hospitality Ministry whose purpose is to meet and greet every visitor who comes through the doors to worship and help them feel at home. The church's own line is "Come as you are," and it says all seekers are welcome. The pastor is Pastor Joy L. Gallmon. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday, from 1 to 2:30pm, the church gives out free food at 1530 West Atkinson Avenue, with no application, sign-up or ID required.
