What a Sunday feels like
Sunday worship at St. James is at 9:00 a.m. The church describes it as a mix of old and new: classic hymns and spoken responses alongside newer Christian songs, with organ and piano taking turns. You will see formal and casual clothes alike. Everyone is asked to sign a Worship Register passed along each pew, and visitors may simply pass the offering basket on. Holy Communion is for members of St. James or another WELS or ELS church; anyone else is asked to speak with the pastor first. An usher can give you an assistive listening device, and the Gathering Place beside the sanctuary has a speaker for a restless child.
On any given Sunday, you'll see formal dress and casual clothing alike. Wear what makes you feel comfortable – you're welcome here!
