What a Sunday feels like

St. James celebrates Mass on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (the vigil) and on Sunday at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.; Mass is also livestreamed on the parish YouTube channel. Confession is heard on Saturdays from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. Worship aids in the pews show the postures and prayers. Visitors are not expected to give in the offering. Non-Catholics are asked not to receive communion but may come forward, arms crossed, for a blessing. At the 10:00 a.m. Mass, except Christmas and Easter Sundays, children aged 4 to 9 leave with adult leaders before the First Reading for Children's Liturgy of the Word and return at the Offertory; a parent or older sibling may go with a reluctant child.
