Services in English

What a Sunday feels like

Sunday begins with a reading of the Psalter at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m.; the parish says all services are conducted in English. A Bible study meets in the church hall before the Liturgy. The parish asks newcomers to quietly observe rather than rush to take part, and says not to worry about doing what everyone else does, only to be polite and attentive. It suggests contacting the priest with any questions before your first visit. Communion carries requirements for Orthodox Christians, including recent confession and fasting beforehand. Visitors from another Orthodox parish are asked to tell Fr. Elijah which parish they normally attend.
