What a Sunday feels like
Sunday worship is at 9:00 a.m. Abiding Word describes itself as a liturgical church and uses the red hymnal. You are asked to sit in the front-most open pew past the roped-off pews; the service is projected on screens, and all Sunday services are live-streamed. Communion is offered on the first and third Sundays of the month. The church practises close communion: it asks that only members of the WELS or ELS receive, and asks anyone not in fellowship with the Wisconsin Synod to talk to the pastor. You register for communion by phoning the office before 3:00 p.m. on the Thursday before. There is a coffee hour after the service.
